its pretty rare when Ian goes to bed early and the kids are asleap and I get the whole downstairs to myself and it's quiet. There is always the parrot that should have passed away 7 years ago making noise, but for the most part it's quiet. With all of the noise of children I forget what silence sounds like, it's pretty nice from time to time. We had a bunch of rain the last few days and I was itching to get out of the house. I took Aidan to the local indoor playcenter and he cruised around with the best of them. He's only 9 months old and he's chasing 2 and 3 year olds by crawling. The kid is fearless. I've not been putting Sean down for an afternoon nap the last few days. I am tired of laying in bed with him almost every night from 9p to sometimes 11pm, seriously, I have better things to do. If I have him skip his nap he sometimes turns into the exorcist child.... I had to go to a doctors appointment this afternoon which meant I had the joys of lugging my two children with me 45 minutes to Gulfport. When I got there I waited in the lobby ( did I mention both of the boys were asleap from the drive there and I had to wake them up) for about 45 minutes, pulled me back in the room and with my two wild children in tow, told me that I didnt need to be there they called me in my prescription that morning. Two of their people told me I had to have an appointment to change my prescription so I made a day #2 trip to gulfport to be sent home. I wasnt so happy about that, especially since they had both fallen asleap in the van. This mommy needs a vacation. unfortunately it's not in my future anytime soon. If you'd like to do something nice for a mom in your town, offer to watch their kids for a couple hours while they get some kid free time! It gets really old always asking for help and a mom could always use a pedicure or a haircut.
