Sunday Night!

The Thomas family had another great weekend together. We traveled up north to Jackson, MS (Flowood) to be exact. We attended an Autism Festival up there that was put together so nicely. We had alot of fun. Sean played sooo hard he almost passed out. They had inflatable jump houses and let me tell you, Sean loves to jump. Here is the news article and if you select the little red camera you'll see us in the news clip. I'm kissing Aidan in one scene and Sean finishes the news clip with him jumping in the bounce house

I am so pleased with Sean's progress in his preschool class. He has learned so much in such a short period of time. I don't think that most almost 4 year olds can read. Sean's vocabulary has taken off! I credit most of that to his reading skills. We use to just get one word responses or confused stares out of him when we would ask him questions. Now, he just goes on and on and on, it's great being able to have a conversation. He has one more year in his class and then the whole debate... his birthday is one week after the cutoff for kindergarten. Do we put him in, or give him another year in preschool. He's so smart I think he's going to get bored. I feel 100% confident that he will go into a normal elementary class. With his increased communication skills alot of his "emotional" challenges are going away as well. Couldn't be happier!

Yes, the rumors are true. I am attempting part time work at another work from home position. It's a little different from my last job in that I was placing contract nurses in temporary employment and now I am permanently placing them when they are tired and want to settle down : ) . I am placing in positions I've never filled before, nursing management. I wanted to give it the old girl scout try and if this new venture doesn't cut the mustard, I might look at starting my own business. I'd like to start something to do with children, so my children could be there with me. We shall see.

I am so excited! I am 25% of the way to my fundraising goal for my walk in Houston this October. On the right of my website you'll see a new link, my walk for autsim. I would really love to exceed this goal as the money goes directly to Autism Speaks, the largest non profit organization funded autism research. I've already participated in a research project in hopes of finding out the cure/cause. Select Here for my Walk Website

Anyways, I need to get some rest. Poor Aidan cut three new teeth last week and tonight he went to bed fussing pretty hard. I am sure he will be awake several times tonight. Bless Ian's heart he woke up with Aidan three or four times last night, just to let me get some rest.
