The Thomas Family

We had a great weekend. Saturday, we had a kindergarten play-date at Sean's Elementary school (Sean is not going to kindergarten until fall 2009 his birthday is 9/8 and the cutoff for kindergarten in 9/1). Anyways, we went with hopes of meeting new friends! Sean walked up to all of the girls and said "Hi, my name is Sean .. what is your name?". Mom has been working on his social skills, since that is one of his weak areas.

We were invited to an impromptu swim date as his classmates house. Sean has a great time with him and they are both Aspergers. We had to put Sean's floaty suit on as his swimming lessons are coming up this summer. Aidan will already go under water in the bathtub, so we are going to put him in swim lessons this summer too!

Did I mention Ian let me sleep in both Saturday and Sunday. My body must have needed it because Saturday I woke up at 10am and Sunday 11am? Friday night was Mom's night out with the Asperger kids group. I had soo much fun. I am grateful to have met all of those parents and Sean feels at home playing with their kids too! I ate chocolate chocolate cake and had a glass of white wine.. yumm... only 1 glass, I had to drive.

Aidan and I made it to the gym today. I didn't really want to go, I usually take the weekends off from the gym and wasn't really motivated today. Some size 0 woman asked me if I was done with a machine that I just stood up from and I looked at her with the "you are completely rude look". Seriously, it's the biggest gym I've ever seen... just go to another machine and check back... maybe get some botox injections and I'll be done with my squat machine... (he he he ).
