doing ok today

Had a nice weekend with the girls from the Krewe of Vesta, came home feeling sick and sleep deprived. Got to drive home in some really ugly weather. Sean was really sick, the first time I had to give him a breathing treatment while he was sleeping. He decided to get up at 2am and go back to bed around 5am, needless to say with me not feeling well already, there was no possible way I could make it into work today. I have to call my OBGYN and see if there's anything that can be done for me, but I know the general rule of thumb is you have to deal when your pregnant... yuck. I will just make myself sleep most the day and hopefully my body will recover on it's on. I enjoyed my time in Jackson this weekend, it was really nice. It was also a major reality check on how many lives the hurricaine effected. Nearly everyone at the table had their home flooded, if not completely gone. Flooding is just enough to be annoying because it makes your house smell. One of my friends had to pull up 4 feet of drywall, carpet, throw out the furniture and her house still smells even after bleaching it out. My friends home who was lost in 8 feet of water, is still not in a "declared FEMA flood zone", however Ian & I are now in declared flood zone, so I will imagine we will be required to take out flood insurance this year, which isn't a bad thing after every thing we've seen. On the drive to Jackson, it was amazing to see how strong the hurricaine was ...trees down all the way through hattisburg and even further north. One of the things I did realize being in Jackson this weekend is how truly shopping deprived we are. Owell, there is more important things than that...
