The Thomas Family

Wow, who would have thought moving would be so stressful. Thankfully my father in law and my good friends from Ocean Springs pulled together and helped us through it. We made it to Texas last Sunday night. We are staying in north Irving at a Marriott Residence Inn. If all goes well we should close next Friday, thankfully because it is TIGHT quarters with all of us in one room. Ian has been adjusting to his new job. I am really excited for him. The opportunity to move up is great and with him being happy in his career, makes me happy too. We really like it here a lot. There is so much to do it will take us a long time to get familiar with everything.

Ian's birthday was last friday and we had a great day. We met up with some of our friends from the Gulf Coast (Jimmy & Shelly) and we had a wonderful time at Dave & Buster's in Dallas. It was good to see them and I am so excited they only live an hour south of us. Ian said it was one of his best birthdays in a long time!

We ventured off to IKEA today in Frisco, TX. This was my first time in an IKEA and my little designing motors were ticking. We didn't make any purchases today, but have some great ideas for the boy's bedrooms. Fun place!

I have family here in Dallas through Ian. A wonderful sister in law named Shirley, her great husband Mike, and incredibly smart and talented nieces Brooke, Morgan & Aubrey. Shirley has been so nice to us, I really enjoy spending time with her. We went to dinner there when we were house hunting a couple weeks ago and we were invited again tonight and had a great time. I am so excited that we have family here and look forward in spending time with them down the road. I have other family too here to meet, so hopefully I will catch up with them soon as well!

I'm also excited because my sister in law Brenda is going to be coming out and spending a weekend with the family in September. I will be out of town on a cruise that weekend so I hope that she can come back out again so I can spend some time with her as well! They boys are going to be loving on their Aunt Brenda!

I've got to get to bed as we are in a 1 room suite and Sean won't hit the sack until the computer is off. We are going to explore Grapevine tomorrow!
