Named after the wild mustang grapes that grew in the area, Grapeviine is one of the oldest settlements in north Texas. Today, the town celebrates its heritage with GrapeFest, the Southwest's largest wine festival held each September. But teetotalers also have plenty to do, whether it's taking advantage of the three public golf courses (one designed by golf legend Byron Nelson); windsurfing and sailing on Grapevine Lake; or strolling down historic Main Street. Situated between Dallas and Fort Worth and just minutes from the airport, Grapevine's hotel and hospitality industry rules the area. And though traffic can be a challenge, in a few years Grapevine will benefit from a commuter rail system that will connect it to both Fort Worth and the airport, where travelers can also a catch a train to Dallas. -I.M.

Looks like a great house. We have family who live in Paradise TX , maybe we can catch up with you all when we drive down there to visit next spring.
Good Luck with the move!
This is Angel (Ian's half-niece? thing). Rita sent me the link to your blog. I actually lived in Grapevine for quite a while, and it's definitely a great little town. I hope you like it there. ^_^
