Catching up & Walk is this friday!

I am $325.00 off from my goal for the autism walk this weekend, if you've been meaning to donate but have forgotten, you still have time, visit the link over to the far right that says "my autism walk"

Sean has been adapting ok to his move to Texas. He missed MS alot and that has been hard on Ian & I. He recently went through the transfer process for school. Texas tested Sean and said he has a really high IQ however we don't see how your son qualifies for special services at this point. I provided them with a list of items and some video clips and they agreed to evaluate him for a few more weeks, however it is becoming more and more clear that they are going to dismiss him from special services and refer him to a public private pre-k. I'm a little worried about that. If they are not trained to deal with a child with Aspergers, Sean will likely become aggressive and start to show behavioral challenges... however, I could be wrong and maybe he would do well.

Hey Susan, don't give up. A friend of mone went through that in a Palm ay school with her son who has high functioning aspergers. You'v got to keep pushing the schoolboard, gently but you do. It's the only way to get them to accept him half the rtime. Aspergers is no reason to not be accepted into any school, regardless of the program's rules.
