In an interesting turn of events, I was able to correspond with the PHD author of the standarized test my son took. He responded that based upon the test results and his former diagnosis from an MD, that the school district is reporting in error. The author of the standarized test, basically said "highly probable for aspergers just on the score alone". I now how to tactfully renogotiate with the school district or go other avenues. Clearly my school district doesn't feel children with Aspergers have a need for early intervention (pre-k). They want the kids to go mainstream and then when they start to show behavioral challenges in class and at home, they will "re-evaluate" and I fear what this will do to my child when we've worked so hard to get him where he is today.
